Last Friday night saw our Dinner Dance & awards night for 2018 take place in the Anner hotel Thurles. 

Special guest on the night was Aidan “Taggy” Fogarty who spoke very well and had plenty of advice for our younger players in particular. Aidan also presented the medals to our 3 victorious Teams who took home the U21 B football Mid title, the Junior A football Mid title and the Intermediate hurling Mid Title in 2017.

The 2 big awards of the night were the young player of the year and the adult player of the year.

Congratulations to Keane Hayes on picking up young player of the year after an excellent 2017 season in hurling & football.

Unfortunately our adult player of the year Enda McCarthy is out of the country for the next 2 seasons with work commitments but he’s award was picked up by his brother Shane. Well deserved Enda and we hope to see you back in the red and white again soon 

Thanks to the Anner hotel for their top class service on the night, to Maeve Maher and Jimmy Meighan on the door, Aidan Fogarty for being our guest for the night and last but not least our organising committee of William Coleman, Adrienne Cleary, Helena Bourke, TJ Mockler and Mark Ryan 

Heres hoping for plenty of success on the field again this year which will allow us to hold a similar function again next year
