Under 21 football

Our under 21s travelled to Templetouhy on Sunday last to take on Moyne/Gaels needing a win to stay in contention for a final place. Having played against the wind in the first half we found ourselves 2 points in arrears at the break. A slow start to the 2nd half saw us fall 4 points behind but an incredible last quarter saw us nab 2 quick goals from the Cleary brothers Fionn and Oisin along with some nice point taking, this put us in a winning position with minutes left with our lads showing great resolve to come through on a score line of 3-8 to 0-14. We now await the result of the Holycross v Moyne match in 2 weeks time to learn our fate.

Minor Football

Our Minor footballers travel to Templetouhy next Sunday to take on Moyne Gaels in round 2 of the Mid Championship, throw in at 2pm. All support appreciated

Fitzgibbon Cup

Hard luck to Kevin Slattery who started at full forward with the Garda college in their Fitzgibbon cup group opener v Trinity College. The Garda college were on the wrong end of a 1-15 to 0-13 scoreline but kevin showed up well scoring 0-5 (0-4f). The Garda college now have two games left in the group v LIT and IT Carlow to give themselves a chance to progress to the knock out stages.

RIP Paddy Bourke

Gortnahoe Glengoole GAA Club would like to offer its condolences to the Bourke family on the passing of Paddy.
