Club reps on County Camogie panel
Well done to Grace Campion, Kate Laffan and Eimear Power who represented their Club and County in the U16B Munster Semi Final against Clare in Fr. McNamara Park in Ennis last Saturday.
Under 16 football
Our 16 footballers began their championship campaign with a 4-8 to 2-0 win over Durlas Og B. Improvement needed in the coming rounds to progress in this competition but the team started to gel towards the end of this game and have plenty of talent to make a mark on this competition. We await our next fixture in the coming weeks.
Pre season fundraiser
Gortnahoe Glengoole GAA club will hold a fundraiser in Prouts Pub, Gortnahoe on Saturday the 9th of March. This event is being run by the Intermediate & Junior Hurlers and footballers and all funds raised will go towards the large cost of registering and insuring the various club teams for the coming season. On the night we will have music by the very popular and recently formed Thurles band ‘Phase 2’. We will also hold a ‘Hang Tough’ challenge on the night for all hurlers, footballers and anybody else who fancies the challenge. A marquee will be erected to ensure we have room for all. This promises to be a great night out and an opportunity for all to get together and look forward to the year ahead. Admission on the night is by ticket only and these can be purchased from any adult player or any member of the management teams.
