Gortnahoe Glengoole GAA Club notes
Minor football
Our Minor footballers were soundly beaten by Boherlahan Dualla last Sunday on a score line of 3-9 to 0-3. Huge improvement will be needed in the semi finals. We will know our opponents after next weeks final round of games in which we have a bye
Intermediate Hurling
Well done to our Intermediate hurlers on a hard fought victory over Moyle Rovers away last Saturday in round 1 of the County league. The score line was 2-13 to 0-14. Round 2 of the county league will take place at home to Moneygall on Sunday next (St Patricks Day) at 11am
U14 Peil na nOg
Our under 14 footballers started their Peil na nOg game with Loughmore with 13 players and had 14 by half time, huge efforts were made to get a 15th player but to no avail, this was hugely disappointing as the 14 players on the field gave a super effort and won the game by 2-3 to 2-1 but had to concede as we failed to start the 2nd half with 15.

Pre season fundraiser
Thanks to all those who supported our pre season fundraiser as organised by the adult hurlers & footballers last Saturday night. While the weather conditions came against us slightly on the night everybody made the most of the fun. The most pleasing part and the main objective of the night was a chance for all our adult players to have a break from the training field and to come together as one socially as a group and really enjoy each others company off the field, while also raising some funds for the club. Phase 2 our band went down a hit and we thank them for playing on the night. Thanks to Martin & Ann for their hospitality. Our Hang Tough Challenge winners were: Non player: (Dixie Sheehan) Player: Fionn Cleary.
James Murray (Gortnahoe) won the first prize in the raffle (Thanks again to Liam Barnaville for the lovely prizes. Others prize winners were Ian Delaney, Sarah Molloy, Susan Fogarty, Michelle Bergin, Mike Cleary, James Moore & Neville Cooke.
