Intermediate hurling
Our final round game v Clonoulty in the Intermediate County league wasn’t played as we received a walk over. This results means that we finished joint top of the group along with Moneygal and Knockavilla but do not make the final due to score difference. It is very disappointing that the strict of the motion passed for this competition was changed in the regulations as the motion passed by clubs saw the top 2 teams promoted.
Junior hurling
Our Junior hurlers take on Clonakenny on Friday night at 8pm in Clonakenny, with the final round of the group the following Friday v Moyne Templetouhy in Templetouhy at 7;45pm. We need at least 1 win to progress from the group.
Minor hurling
Our Minor hurlers start their hurling championship campaign v Upperchurch in drombane at 7.30 on Wednesday evening.
Under 10 hurling
Training continues Tuesday evening 6.45pm
U12 hurling
Both Under 12 teams have been busy with games the last week. Our Group 2 team defeated Moyne last Tuesday night to make it 3 wins from 3 in the group and qualify for the Mid Semi Final with one more game in the group to play. Our Group 4 team recorded a great victory over Clonakenny at home to make it two wins back to back with our last group game to play v Thurles Gaels. A spot in the quarter final await this group of players. Training continues at the appointed times for Under 12’s.
Under 14 hurling
Our 14s play their first round championship match on Tuesday evening in the ragg vs drom-inch at 6;45pm
U16 hurling
The u16s started their championship last Tuesday with a good win over Moyne Templetouhy. Next game vs Durlas og next Monday 8th in Thurles.
Brendan Teehan Tournament
The Brendan Teehan u16 hurling tournament will take place this Saturday 6th July. Schedule for the day as follows

Cul Camp
Registration is now closed for our Cúl Camp this year - looking forward to another enjoyable week from 5th-9th August
Kieran Bergin Sports club gear fitting day
Order number 1 for the new Bergin Sports club gear will be submitted STRAIGHT AFTER our fitting & order day on Saturday July 13th. The fitting will take place between 9:30am and 12 noon. Camogie News
U16 Camogie got off to a great start in Moneygall last Tuesday night playing Moneygall in their first game of the summer league. Gortnahoe winning on the night. They now play their next game on Tuesday evening 2nd July in Gortnahoe taking on St. Cronans of Roscrea.
Juniors had a great game against Portlaw on Wednesday evening but were beaten by a stronger side on this occasion.
Our u12 girls will travel to Annacarthy on Tuesday 9th July and on Saturday 13th July will travel to Littleton to play Moycarkey Borris.
U10s had a challenge match on Friday evening last against St. Laurences Kildare.
Great evening of fun and camogie. They went on
to play in the All County Blitz in Holycross on Saturday playing against Cahir , Rockwell and Thurles

Championship Challenge
Our Championship Challenge competition came to a head last weekend with Richie Dunne Claiming first prize of €500, second prize of €250 went to John Butler with the €100 third prize going to Brendan Ryan. Thanks to all who participated and helped run this fundraiser, we raised a whopping €5,300 after prizes.
R.I.P Kay Skehan
Gortnahoe Glengoole GAA Club would like to offer its condolences to the Skehan family on the passing of Kay.
The Skehan family are heavily involved in the club with Martin & Kay involved in the Lotto since its inception, David who was one of the founding members of the club Lotto and Club Secretary for 9 years and Paddy who is still playing hurling and football with the club & Diane who played with the ladies football team until recently
Funeral details below
Passed Peacefully at Beaumont Hospital, following a short illness, surrounded by her loving family, beloved wife of Martin, and loving mother of David, Patrick and Diane. Sadly missed by her husband, sons, daughter, daughters in law Anne Marie and Maeve, adored granson Michael, brothers, sisters, brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.
Rest in Peace
Reposing at Doyles Funeral Home, Urlingford on Tuesday 2nd July from 5pm to 8pm. Arriving to the Church of the Sacred Heart, Gortnahoe for Requiem mass on Wednesday at 11.30am followed by burial in Fennor cemetery. Family flowers only, donations if desired to ICU, Beaumont hospital.
