A busy Saturday for the club ended with 2 wins and a defeat.
Our Under 12 group 5 footballers started the day with an excellent 6-3 to 2-1 victory over Upperchurch Drombane with the lads and indeed girls preforming excellently in what was the first time they had played together at this level.
Next up were our Group 2 team who faced a strong Drom and Inch team. After a slow start this team put in an excellent 2nd half performance and had the margin back to 1 point before just running out of steam towards the end. Final score was 7-5 to 4-5 to Drom. Well done to this team especially those who had already played a game earlier in the day.
Finally our Intermediate hurlers had there 1st competitive outing v Moycarkey Borris on Saturday evening in Littleton in the County Intermediate league in what turned out to be a firey encounter with a man from each side seeing the line we ran out 1-20 to 0-8 victors in a performance full of grit, hard work and no little skill. A good start for the new management team of Hugh Coghlan, Jim Rafter and Paul Barnaville
