Under 6s

Training continues for U6's next Saturday and for our last meeting on Sept 28th, we have been invited into Kickham Park for a challenge match against Thurles Gaels and to join in their end of season celebrations

Under 8s

In spite of missing a few players our u8s still fielded 3 teams last Saturday in a blitz in thurles where we played moycarkey, killenaule and gaels. Thanks to all the parents for the extra help on the morning. Training continues TUESDAY and Saturday.

Under 11s

U 11 group 2 team had a good win over moycarkey and have their final group game against durlas og tuesday at 6 15. The group 3 team had 2 games last week losing both after giving it everything on both occasions.

Under 13 hurling

We defeated Moyne in Round 4 of the league during the week to make it three wins and a draw from 4 games. We play Loughmore this Thursday night. Training continues as normal.

Intermediate hurling

Our Intermediate Hurlers had a good victory over Boherlahan Dualla last Saturday in the Mid Intermediate semi final at a sunny Templetouhy , 2-21 to 1-8 the final score, attention now turns to the Mid Championship final next weekend as we take on local rivals Moyne Templetouhy, this game will take place on Saturday at 3pm in Littleton.

Under 15 hurling

Well done to our under 15 Hurlers who Had a good win over moyne in first round last week. We have a bye this week and will resume again the following week.

Junior A football

We exited this championship last Tuesday night after a 1-13 to 1-7 defeat to Solohead. Missing quiet a few regulars we made a slow start and trailed by 9 at the break, a spirited second half saw us mount a comeback but we ultimately left ourselves with too much to do.

Camogie News

The u10s played against Thurles Sarsfields Saturday in a friendly game and did very well.

They will have their end of year blitz in Borrisleigh on Sunday 29th September

Development fundraising update

Gortnahoe Glengoole Gaa Lotto has now contributed 55,000€ to our Development Committee this year , the lotto is been used exclusively for development purposes only , we are urging people to support the lotto as much as possible be that by becoming sellers or by buying tickets every week , tickets can be bought in all business s in the parish , online or by contacting Jim 087 2160320

There was no winner of the lotto jackpot worth €7,400 which was held in Mary Willies, Numbers drawn were 1,2,10,16 , Lucky dip winners were Ryan's shop Gortnahoe, Thomas Hayes c/o Kevin Slattery Snr, Marie Dunne Graigue, Shane Phelan Graigaman, Sellers Prize Tom Nolan Graigue, Next week's draw to be held on the 12th of September in Prouts Gortnahoe, Jackpot €7,600.
