Hard luck to our Under 13’s who were defeated by a very strong Drom team today in the Mid Final.

We never really played to our potential today but as always we fought to the end and we are proud of the lads..

We received a great pick me up after the game when our own Shane Long visited the dressing room and spoke to the lads. Shane referenced a lot of his fond memories playing hurling with the club.

He spoke about the finals he lost as a juvenile but the importance of learning from defeat and coming back and winning many titles as a juvenile player himself. It was a great message for the lads.

We sincerely thank Shane for his kind words and time for photos this morning. It is always great to see him back amongst club members and old friends.

Thanks to the juvenile club for treating the lads to Supermacs after the game.
