A busy weekends action saw us come away 3 wins and a draw from the 4 games played.
On Friday our Junior league Div 3 team earned a hard fought draw at home to knock with a last gasp PJ McCormack free. This leaves this team with it all to play for going into the final round as they hope to secure a final place. Good to see Paul Hanrahan back on the field with a Hurley in hand!
The Intermediates had a good work out on Saturday v Cashel in a challenge without our U21s winning out by 0-21 to 1-12 as they prepare for next weeks championship game v Sars
Sunday saw our U21 hurlers into action in the 1st round of the Mid Championship. Led superbly by captain Ronan Teehan from centre forward the team recorded a high scoring victory on a score line of 4-17 to 5-6. We would like to wish Bobby Prout a speedy recovery having suffered a concussion in the game.
On Monday our Junior Div 2 team had an excellent away win v Upperchurch having played with the wind in the 1st half we led by 6 at the break having to face a stiff breeze in the 2nd half. The lads dug in however to come away with a 1 point victory on a score line of 2-16 to 0-21
Finally a big thank you to everyone who helped out with the Tom O Hara tournament yesterday and a special thanks to chief organiser Jimmy Meighan. The game finished 1-16 to 0-17 to Tipp and a good gate was received.
