INTRODUCING OUR SATURDAY FUN ACADEMY!!
Anybody passing the gaa grounds the last couple of Saturday mornings will have noticed the hive of activity and the buzz of all the children present as they have resumed training with their age groups.
As can be seen from the attached video (link to video here) the children are so happy when they are together engaged in physical activity and from a health and well being perspective the benefits of having children involved in sport are endless.
Presently we have children attending these age grades from mainly the local primary schools. If there are any children that we haven't seen or may like to try it out, they would be most welcome.
Parents can rest assured it is never too late to try something new. The coaches for these age grades are willing to invest time to bring all children along at their own pace.
The emphasis is on fun and participation while also teaching the age appropriate skills of our Gaelic games.
Speaking of primary schools over the years the club have been fortunate to have someone going into the schools at different times of the year doing a mix of PE and GAA and are currently very fortunate to have former club player Shane Kenny going into each of the 3 primary schools weekly. Shane has a great way with the children and has a wealth of knowledge coaching various sporting disciplines up to international level. The children are loving the variety of Shane's sessions and the chance to try out different activitities and games weekly. This is an area we as a club hope to maintain and really build on into the future. Andy Ryan Andy Ryan Tipperary Gaa Tipperary GAA Official Tipperary Camogie Tipperary Coaching & Games
