This weekend is a hugely important weekend for the club as 3 of our hurling teams enter knockout action at different venues over Saturday and Sunday.
First up are our Minors. After an excellent 0-19 to 0-12 Mid final victory over Drom and Inch this side will travel to Fethard on Saturday to face west champions Cashel at 2pm. Best of luck to this group and the management team of Michael Cleary, Richie Power and Kevin Slattery.
Sunday sees a hectic day of action as firstly our Intermediates travel to Moneygall to face familiar foes Newport in the County Preliminary 1/4 final at 12 noon. Some great battles have been had between the 2 sides over the years and Sunday will be no different no doubt. Hoping to guide this team into the 1/4 finals will be Hugh Coghlan, Jim Rafter and Paul Barnaville.
Then it's onto Templetouhy as our Junior Bs bid for a place in the Mid final under the stewardship of Eamon Cantwell, Mark Ryan, John Coleman and Michael Langton but must first overcome Clonakenny. This team went unbeaten through the group stages and hope to continue this run on Sunday. This game will throw in a 4pm.
Finally a special mention to our hard working first aider Maggie Holohan who will be keeping all three team fit and ready over a hectic 2 days. Your help is very much appreciated.
Best of luck to all teams and please try and support some or all sides over the weekend.
