Well done to our under 21 hurlers on an impressive replay victory over Boherlahan Dualla today in the Mid semi final in Littleton.
A blistering start saw us go 1-4 to a point ahead early on with the goal coming from an excellent solo effort from Ronan Teehan.
Boherlahan edged their way back into the game however and only trailed 1-5 to 0-5 at half time.
The 2nd half saw the introduction of Keane Hayes and he made an impact with a point shortly after entering the fray. Indeed the substitutions would have a huge bearing as David Butler contributed a point also after coming in.
The turning point in the game came 10 mins into the 2nd half as Boherlahan had closed to within two points when Robbie Dooley got a deft flick to a long delivery to find the net and give us some breathing space.
Some solid defence and excellent work rate saw us stay in front and with time almost up Robbie Dooley struck his 2nd goal of the game to seal victory.
We now go on to face Thurles Sarsfields B in the Mid final possibly on Wednesday night (details to follow)
Last but not least we would like to say a huge thank you to the huge support who came out on a cold November Sunday to roar the lads on, it made a huge difference.
