Congratulations to Jimmy Meighan who became a Mid Tipperary GAA Hall of Fame Award Winner 2016. This award is presented to Mid-Tipperary GAA personnel in recognition of their contribution to the GAA .

Some of Jimmy’s GAA achievements were Chairman of Gortnahoe/Glengoole GAA Club 1982 to 1995, Mid Tipperary Vice Chairman 1993 to 1996 and 1998 & 1999, County Tipperary Junior Hurling Selector 1993 & 1994. Laochra Gael recipient 2007 and Selector of Club teams for many years including the 1988 Gortnahoe/Glengoole Intermediate Hurling team that brought the first adult County title to the parish.
